Every year our HQ in China throws a full blown party for all the employees at the end of the summer. This year our USA office also tried to keep up with the fun tradition for our employees.
Employees and their family/friends were invited to California’s Great America for a fun day filled with games, BBQ food and thrilling roller coaster rides. Many people also went into the water park to cool off since the weather was fairly warm.
Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown and Lucy stopped by during lunch time at the Picnic Grove for pictures; while we all chowed down on juicy hamburgers, vegetarian burgers, tri-tip steak, BBQ chicken, mac&cheese, sweet corn, salad, dinner rolls and ice cream!
Too Fast and Too Furious was exactly what went down on a sunny Friday afternoon in the parking lot of our Palo Alto office.
For this team building event, we divided all the employees into 6 different groups. Everyone was given one hour to build a race car that was big enough to fit two people. After one hour, each team raced two times around the office; the team with the fastest timing was the winner. Each “crew member” from the winning team also received $20 gift card from Amazon.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our employees to show off their creativity and team work skills.
Thanks to Southland Flavor Cafe’s popcorn chicken and milk tea, we were able to “fuel” our hungry “driver”.
Happy Chinese New Year (year of the dog)! Gong Xi Fa Cai!
This year we tried something new and different. We celebrated our Chinese New Year luncheon (at Sam’s Chowder House) by the sunny beach in Half Moon Bay. Our luncheon included New England Clam Chowder, Grilled King Salmon Filet, Grilled Filet Mignon and Shrimp Scampi & Linguini. Topped it off, we had Key Lime Pie and Flourless Chocolate Cake for dessert. It was delicious!!
We didn’t let our employees go home empty-handed! We offered a raffle drawing toward the end of the luncheon. Our lucky winners went home with some amazing gifts: Bose Soundlink Revolve + Bluetooth Speaker, Pandora Bracelet, Lea Aroma Diffuser, Foreo Luna, Cuisinart Cast Iron Pot, Yi Smart Dash Camera, Tile Mate Key Finder/Phone Finder, Zyllion Shiatsu Massage Pillow, Movie Tickets, Scott’s Seafood Gift Cards and Suning Neck Pillows.
Wow! what a great way to start off the new year. We wish everyone a happy and healthy new year. “Shenti Jian Kang, Gong He Xin Xi, Da Ji Da Li”
The year is not over yet, at least not until we finish in style (racing style that is…). We celebrated our end of the year Christmas party with Go-Karting, Dim-sum and Secret Santa Christmas exchange at K1 Speed in Santa Clara.
Everyone arrived at K1 Speed and was immediately split up into different racing groups. We each had 3 races and winners were announced after the 3rd race. Thanks to Dim Sum King’s yummy shrimp dumplings, radish cakes, sticky rice, BBQ pork buns and other delicious food; we were able to fuel our hungry racers’ tummies.
During snack time, we opened up our Secret Santa Gifts. We selected a few names from the drawing box and let our friends open their gifts in front of everyone. All of the gifts were great and thoughtful.
Happy Holidays to you and your family. 2017 has been a wonderful year!
Happy Lemon’s Milk Tea + Snacks + Guessing Games + Puzzles = A successful October team building event!
We started out with “get to know your coworkers” questionnaire. Some of the questions were: “What’s the meaning of your name?”, “Who has more than 3 siblings in this office?”, “Who owns a pet?”, “What project is each team working on?”..etc. The room was filled with laughter when Cheryl and Ivy announced the results. These answers were pretty silly!
The second game we played required team work! We were split up into 6 different teams and each team was given 10 pieces of puzzles to start with. In order to retrieve more puzzles from Cheryl and Ivy, we had to use the photos they provided. The goal was to find these mysterious items in our office, take pictures of them and show to Cheryl or Ivy in order to receive more puzzle pieces. I believe with all the running around we all got a really good work out in the afternoon.
Congratulations to our winners: Natt, Haixia, Jie, Qing, Levi, TJ, Melody, Jim and Bohan!
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Virtual reality and artificial intelligence products took center stage at this year’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the platform where the world’s trends in scientific and technological innovations are put on display, with companies from China, which accounted for one third of the leading exhibitors at the event, visibly demonstrating their newfound stature.
Suning, China’s largest O2O (online to offline) ecommerce platform, showcased a comprehensive lineup of intelligent products from its zc.suning.com platform, including several smart home products and other novel solutions. Suning also hosted the “China Innovation North America Summit Forum”, giving 3C (computers, communications and consumer electronics) home appliance makers around the world a presentation on how to fast track their products into the Chinese market.
CES, the world’s largest and most influential consumer electronics tradeshow, attracts many of world’s top companies who attend annually. As a pioneer in China’s home appliance 3C retail sector, Suning, in collaboration with several of China’s home appliance manufacturers, hosts the “China Innovation” summit forum. The company also teams up with AVC and CHEARI to present awards to the many excellent companies and products that have contributed to the “China Innovation” transformation of the country’s economy, as the economic giant exits its earlier “Made in China” role and executes on the “Made in China 2025” initiative. Suning attends CES for the first time, with the aim of not only showcasing its “China Innovation” line of products and solutions, but also providing a model for other Chinese brands who are preparing to enter global markets. China Information Technology Industry Federation executive secretary-general Gao Sumei said that several Chinese manufacturers attend the tradeshow where they introduce innovative Chinese consumer electronic products to the world, giving retailers and consumers worldwide an opportunity to learn more about products created in China and paving the way for other excellent Chinese home appliance manufacturers to take their rightful place on the international stage.
